Acacia Elementary

The students of Acacia Elementary School have upped their commitment to “going green” by starting a school wide recycling program.

The student council officers of Acacia distributed recycle boxes to each classroom, urging students to throw paper scraps into the recycle box and not the trash can. Every Friday afternoon, student council members circulate the classrooms, collect the recycle boxes and empty them into the recycle bin. The students feel good that such a simple step can make such a big difference.

Student Council is looking to further their commitment to “going green” by initiating a lunch time recycling program for bottles and other recyclable containers.
