‘Eco Hero’ Volunteers Wanted for City’s Arbor Earth Day Event

Are you, or someone you know, interested in serving your community while earning volunteer service hours? Are you eco-minded and enjoy the outdoors? Then this is a great opportunity for you!

The City of Thousand Oaks is looking for ‘Eco-Heroes’ to assist at it’s annual Arbor Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 8th, 2017.

This free environmental event will be held at Thousand Oaks Community Park, located at 2525 N. Moorpark Road, next to Thousand Oaks High School. Volunteers are needed between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm to help with event set-up, breakdown, exhibitor booths, kids activities, and educating attendees on how to recycle at a ”zero waste” station. Volunteers can sign up for a 4-hour shift, and will receive a free event t-shirt, food and beverage, and service credit hours for volunteering. No experience necessary!
